MLG&W CEES Career Academy Workforce Development Program
Grades: Recent High School Graduates

About: Students will be empowered to become skilled, customer-focused service advisors through hands-on training, mentorship, and pathways to meaningful employment at MLG&W as a Service Advisor.

Upward Bound- University of Memphis
Description: The University of Memphis Upward Bound Summer Academy is a six-week college preparatory program that gives Upward Bound students a taste of the college experience.
Purpose: Six-weeks of rigorous hands-on-learning in math, science, literature, and a foreign language; Career exploration programs and internships.
Deadline: Summer program May 7
Eligibility: Be a student at Kirby, Melrose, or Sheffield High School, be at least 13 years of age, and have completed the 8th grade but not yet the 12th grade

St. Jude Food Services Internship
Grades: 12th Grade, at least 16 years old, currently enrolled in MSCS Culinary Arts Program

About: This internship will prepare students for careers in the culinary and hospitality industries by providing hands-on experience in a professional food services environment. Interns will gain valuable skills in food preparation, customer service, and kitchen operations while working alongside industry professionals at St. Jude.
