South Park Elementary School recognized several students during its 2nd Quarter Honors Program on Friday, January 17. The event was organized by Counselor Angela Glover and the school’s administration team, along with the leadership of Assistant Principal Tara Edwards. The celebration turned out to be very successful and educational, but most of all, motivational for students, teachers, and parents.

Students from first to fifth grades were honored in different categories. Some of them were recognized for Citizenship, while others got a well-deserved recognition for Perfect Attendance, Honor Roll, and Principal’s List. 

“We want to send out a ‘PANTHER SHOUT’ to all of our students that were honored on last Friday during our 2nd Quarter Honors Program,” the school shared on its Facebook page.

The event also featured a beautiful performance by the Colonial Middle School Creative & Performing Arts (CAPA) dance team. In addition, guest speaker Xavier Whittington, with McDonald's, spoke words of inspiration and encouragement. 

Congratulations to the students that were awarded! Keep up the good work in studying hard and following the path to a bright and successful future!
