District 9: Evans Elementary School Congratulates Winners of the “Cup Stacking Contest”

Evans Elementary School announced this week the winners of its most recent “Cup Stacking Contest.” They are Javier Olivares Salguero and Brent Woods, who tied with a time of 5 seconds. Congratulations!

Cup stacking contests at schools are exciting events where students compete to stack plastic cups in specific patterns and formations as quickly as possible. The most common pattern in cup stacking is the 3-3-3 (three cups in three rows), and the 3-6-3 (three cups in the first row, six cups in the second row, and three cups in the third row). There's also a relay stacking format in which teams pass the cups in a specific order.

Besides being a fun activity for children, a cup stacking contest helps to improve motor skills, mental focus, and determination. It’s also a friendly way for the young students to learn more about teamwork while engaging in a healthy competition with their peers.

This activity is a great education tool for teachers and even parents who have younger children.
