On Friday, November 15, Coach Michelle Dooley-Barger was recognized as a Memphis Showboats Champion, according to the Memphis Shelby County Interscholastic Athletic Association. The recognition celebrates the coach’s hard work, dedication, and impact on student athletes. The honor comes after the E.E. Jeter’s volleyball girls reigned as class A champions. The Lady Jets departed for the state tournament and played in Nashville on October 10 and 11.
Throughout the season, Coach Barger’s leadership was instrumental in the team’s success, both on and off the court. Her commitment to fostering teamwork, discipline, and a strong work ethic helped shape the Lady Jets into a well-coached and cohesive unit. Under her guidance, the team not only excelled in competition but also grew as individuals, embodying the values of perseverance and sportsmanship that Coach Barger instills in all her athletes. This recognition highlights not only the Lady Jets’ championship victory but also the lasting positive impact Coach Barger has had on the young athletes she mentors.
By supporting student-athletes and encouraging participation, schools help create well-rounded individuals who are prepared to face challenges both in sports and in life. Congratulations to Coach Barger!
