Memphis, TN- Last Friday, students from Southwind High School proved their financial prowess at the region's first Junior Achievement (JA) Stock Market Challenge, presented by Wells Fargo. Joining peers from Craigmont and Mitchell high schools, Southwind students dove headfirst into a simulated stock market, making real-time investment decisions and managing virtual portfolios.
The competition was fierce, but Southwind High School teams emerged victorious, securing the top two spots. With a combined net worth of over $1.6 million and a staggering 61.43% return on investment (ROI), Southwind students showcased exceptional financial acumen and strategic thinking. The event was more than just a competition; it was a transformative experience that instilled confidence and inspired students to explore the world of finance.
