Memphis, TN - In a delicious blend of education and inspiration, Superintendent Dr. Marie Feagins recently joined Southwind High School’s culinary arts students for an exciting, hands-on cooking event titled "Cooking with the Superintendent." Joined by Principal John Bush, District 4 Board Member Tamarques Porter, and Chef CJ, Dr. Feagins’ visit celebrated National Career Development Month to highlight the district's dedication to career readiness and the importance of promoting healthy lifestyles.

"Cooking with the Supe" was more than just a class: it was a celebration of culinary arts and a testament to the power of hands-on learning. As Dr. Feagins cooked side-by-side with students, the aroma of sizzling spices and fresh ingredients filled the kitchen, creating a lively and inspiring atmosphere. The event showcased the incredible talent of Southwind’s students, reinforcing the importance of career and technical education (CTE) in preparing students for the future.
