In a head-to-head Battle of the Bands, the White Station High School Marching Spartan Legion blew away the competition!

The White Station marching band took home first place at the Whitehaven High School Battle of the Bands on Sunday, October 27. The Marching Spartan Legion scored first in band, auxiliaries, and drum majors! 

Cozbia Smith became director of the band over the summer, replacing Brian Sims, who left WSHS to join the Houston High School band as its new associate band director. After coming on board, Smith enforced multiple changes within the band, including rebranding it to The Spartan Legion.

The Battle of the Bands competition included a middle school division featuring Havenview, A. Maceo Walker, Cordova High, and Woodstock.
