Memphis-Shelby County Schools to Support United Way Trunk or Treat Event

Students, families, fairies, ghouls, and all are invited to Tillman Avenue on Oct. 19 for the United Way Trunk or Treat event. Organizers are excited to present the walk-through event, and leaders from Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS) are gearing up to give out candy, information, and lots of love for students and education!

“We’re excited about our continued relationship with United Way of the Mid-South,” said Dr. Erin Luster, who serves MSCS as its Director of Student Experience. “The annual Trunk or Treat is an event that families have come to enjoy, and we look forward to sharing books and other resources with our families.”

The community-based event promises a safe and fun environment for students and families to enjoy music, food, costumes and creativity. This short boulevard also condenses the area children would have to walk to collect sweet treats. Local community partners will decorate their vehicles and be on hand to engage with attendees.
