The Department of Family Engagement is proud to announce Mr. Jeremy McKinnie as the Family Engagement Liaison for the Month of October! Since joining Kirby High School, Mr. McKinnie has demonstrated a tireless commitment to supporting students and families. His proactive approach and passion for service have made an immediate and lasting impact.

From providing transportation assistance to families in need to removing obstacles that hinder student attendance, Mr. McKinnie’s dedication is truly unmatched. His work goes beyond problem-solving – he builds meaningful connections. Mr. McKinnie has partnered with Pastor David Rhodes and New Hope in Christ Ministries to recognize and celebrate fight-free days at Kirby High, fostering a culture of positivity and unity.
One of his recent highlights includes organizing a successful community partner interest meeting. With the participation of the Shelby County Health Department, Boys and Girls Club of Greater Memphis, Latino Memphis, and 30 other community organizations, Mr. McKinnie is actively creating a network of support for students and their families. His efforts ensure that Kirby High continues to thrive as a community-centered school.
