MEMPHIS – Bolton High School teacher and head football coach CJ Marshall has been named one of two coaches who will lead the teams in the 22nd Annual AutoZone Liberty Bowl High School All-Star Game.
Marshall will coach the Blue Team, along with Ed Kuykendoll, the head coach at Sheffield High School who will coach the Red Team. The All-Star Game will feature the top senior players from the Memphis-Shelby County Schools district, municipal schools and private schools in the area. The game will be played at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, at Memphis University
School.
Marshall has served as an assistant coach in the All-Star Game the past three years. He was named head coach of the Bolton High Wildcats in 2019. In his first season, the team had its first winning season in more than 10 years.
“The AutoZone Liberty Bowl High School All-Star Game provides a great opportunity to showcase the abundance of talent in the Memphis area,” Marshall said in a recent interview. “It gives the selected senior players one last opportunity to end their high school football careers with a win. It’s a great way to kick off the December events for the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.”
The game is presented by Conway Services and the Tennessee Highway Safety Office.
