Superintendent Announces Assistant Superintendent of Operations

Memphis, TNDr. Marie N. Feagins has appointed Tito Langston, a seasoned financial expert, as the Assistant Superintendent of Operations for Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS).

“Mr. Langston is a strategic thinker who brings a wealth of knowledge to this position,” said Dr. Feagins. “I am confident he will continue to bring innovative, sharp ideas to the table to improve our operational efficiency.” 

In his role, the Assistant Superintendent of Operations oversees the strategic management of the district's daily business operations, encompassing transportation, nutrition, talent development, and information technology.

Since joining the district in 2019, Mr. Langston has demonstrated strong leadership, leading teams to achieve multiple clean audits and earning several awards for excellence in budgeting and financial reporting.

A native of Memphis, Mr. Langston's passion for numbers is evident in his work. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Tennessee State University and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from The University of Memphis. With over 17 years of experience in finance and accounting, he has played pivotal roles in organizations such as Morgan Keegan, Bartlett City Schools, ALSAC-St. Jude, and Memphis-Shelby County Schools.
