Dr. Marie N. Feagins has selected motivational leader and communications professional Julian Cross to head the Superintendent's Office as its Executive Manager.
"Julian has the energy, creativity and personality to run my office effectively and efficiently," said Dr. Feagins. “His organizational skills are top-notch, and he sets a great tone for the team.”
Cross joined Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS) in January 2023 as a Communications Specialist focusing on internal communications and project management. His work in the Superintendent's Office began May 8, when he immediately began implementing systems and processes to support the Superintendent.
Cross previously worked at Peer Power Foundation as a Marketing and Community Engagement Associate.
Cross is an accomplished musician and recording artist. He penned the district's first anthem, "See the Future," and released his first album, "Songs from an Overcomer," earlier this year.
A proud Central High School graduate, Cross holds a master of business administration degree from Louisiana State University-Shreveport and a bachelor's degree from the University of Memphis.
