Leading the Legacy: Superintendent's Transition Team Charts Course for District Advancement

Today, over 60 individuals, including community members and district employees, gathered for the inaugural session of the Superintendent's Transition Team. Tasked with helping Superintendent Feagins craft and execute the District’s next strategic plan, the team delved into discussions aimed at enhancing key areas of the district:

  • Student Achievement,
  • Business Operations,
  • Strategic Communications & Partnerships,
  • Next-Level Readiness,
  • Inclusive Excellence.

The agenda was filled with thought-provoking activities, including a guided tour of nearby schools, providing a tangible glimpse into the district's challenges and successes shaping the educational landscape. Over the next few weeks, sub-committee members will conduct comprehensive analyses of their focus areas, culminating in recommendations to propel the district forward.

"I am thrilled to be part of shaping decisions alongside those who truly understand our legacy,” said Superintendent Feagins. “After visiting our schools, it's clear that there's no better way to paint the picture and provide recommendations other than by experiencing our present.”

Anticipation is high for the innovative solutions and strategic insights that will emerge from this diverse assembly of stakeholders. Driven by teamwork and dedication, the Superintendent's Transition Team aims to leave a legacy of partnership in shaping the future of education.
