The days of stepping up to vending machines and seeing honey buns, candy bars and other unhealthy options is becoming a thing of the past for students in Shelby County Schools. Students at three SCS high schools now have a healthier way to grab a quick, complete meal thanks to new meal and beverage vending machines going into operation this month.
The District’s Department of Nutrition Services has unveiled a new healthy vending machine initiative with Wooddale, Central and Southwind High Schools serving as its pilot locations.
