SCS is proud to announce the upcoming Virtual Family Forum: Recruitment, Summer Literacy and Community Resources, taking place Thursday, October 7, 2021, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m.

SCS Family Forums provide an opportunity for all parents to gather, learn and share important information to support student learning and success in school. Click the following links to join the live virtual sessions on Microsoft Teams.

Breakout Session 1: 5:25 pm – 6:10 pm

  • Bullying: What You Don’t Know Can Be Detrimental (SEED) *LIVE Teams Event
    • Do you know your school's procedure for dealing with bullying, cyber-bullying, harassment, sexual harassment and assaults, hazing and intimidation referrals in your building? Do you know how your school’s protocols align with state laws and district policies? This session is designed to give families the latest policy changes and their impact at the school level. Participants will participate in several practical exercises to gauge their comprehension of the material. Finally, this session will highlight the expected behavior for administrators and ways families can support when addressing bullying, harassment, hazing, and intimidation situations in schools.
  • Student Attendance and Academic Success (ESL) *LIVE Teams Event
    • The presenters will give information about English as a Second Language (ESL) and the importance of school attendance and its positive effects on academic achievement.
