SCS is proud to announce the upcoming Virtual Family Forum: Testing, Academics, and Community Resources, taking place Saturday, January 23, 2021, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

WIDA ACCESS for English Learners: What Parents Should Know -English
as a Second Language (ESL) *Pre-Recorded Live Event. Translator in Session.
- This session will inform parents about the upcoming WIDA ACCESS assessment. A description of the English Language Proficiency test will be given, along with the importance of participation. Directions on how to sign up & prepare for testing will also be provided.

Q & A for General Choice Transfer (SEED)

- This session will answer any questions and general information parents may have about the SCS General Choice Transfer period.

Serving Up Good Nutrition (Nutrition Services)

- This session will introduce parents to the School Nutrition Program. This session will cover USDA guidelines, menu development, and virtual meal services.

- This session will focus on how a student can move forward and show progress within Response to Instruction (RTI2).

Creating Conversations with Our Children for Pre-K (Early Childhood)

- Helping children manage big feelings is a challenge in most homes. This session will provide attendees with activities and strategies for effectively talking with children. Parents will understand how using different conversation strategies at home can promote or hinder communication with their children.

Adult Financial Literacy Classes & Preparation for Obtaining Home Ownership

- This session is about adult financial literacy to support adult education. Attendees will learn and discuss financial literacy, credit knowledge, and pre- and post-home purchasing goals.
