District 2: Kingsbury High School Students Explore Southwest Tennessee Community College

Southwest Tennessee Community College recently welcomed a group of enthusiastic students from Kingsbury High School to its campus for an engaging and informative visit. The event was part of Southwest’s ongoing commitment to fostering connections with local high schools and inspiring students to explore the possibilities of higher education.

The students were treated to a guided tour of Southwest’s state-of-the-art facilities, offering them a glimpse into the vibrant campus life and the resources available to help them succeed.

During the visit, students participated in interactive sessions led by Southwest faculty and staff, where they learned about the wide variety of courses and programs offered at the college. With over 140 programs to choose from, including degrees and certificates in fields such as business, health sciences, information technology, and engineering, there were alot of opportunities tailored to diverse career paths and aspirations.Southwest Tennessee’s Admissions recruiter counselor Arnetria McGhee expressed her gratitude for the experience. 

The visit exposed Kingsbury High School students to opportunities available  where they can grow, learn, and achieve their dreams.  Students also had the chance to ask questions about admissions, financial aid, and dual enrollment opportunities, which allow high school students to earn college credit while still completing their high school education.
