District 8: Dexter K-8 Beta Club Members Attend State Convention

Congratulations to Dexter K-8 School Beta Club members who recently participated in Tennessee's National Beta Club State Convention in Nashville.

The Dexter scholars competed in several online and in-person competitions and scavenger hunts at the convention, held November 22-26 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Conference Center.

The National Beta Club is an international honor society for fourth- through 12th-grade students. Its purpose is to promote academic achievement, character, leadership, and service among elementary and secondary school students. It is the largest independent educational society for youths in the United States. The organization, which was founded in 1932 by Dr. John West Harris, has more than 9,600 clubs nationally and more than 500,000 active members.

Beta Club State Conventions are held annually in 18 states across all three National Beta divisions. Conventions feature a wide range of individual and team competitions and opportunities to run for several leadership positions.
