District 4: Germantown High School Students Explore Languages at Rhodes College

On October 18, 2024, students from Germantown High School’s Spanish embarked on an enriching visit to Rhodes College. The Spanish students participated in a unique cultural exchange by joining a Spanish 202 class and French students in French 101 where they engaged in a collaborative Zoom session with university students from Ecuador. This immersive experience allowed them to practice their language skills while discussing Ecuadorian traditions and contemporary topics, deepening their understanding of Latin American culture.

The visit provided both language groups with an inspiring glimpse into collegiate-level studies, encouraging them to pursue their linguistic passions beyond high school.
