White Station High Lacrosse Team Gives Back

The White Station High School Lady Spartans Lacrosse team is giving back through its Community Closet.

Students now can discreetly pick up needed items, including deodorant, feminine hygiene products, toothpaste and toothbrushes, socks and more.

Tara Bone, Instructional Facilitator and Professional Learning Coach at White Station, said last school year girls on the team asked if they could start a supply closet after noticing a need. She didn’t hesitate to give them the go-ahead.

Students are utilizing the closet, Bone said, adding that it has evolved to include clothing and school uniform items. “One student asked yesterday if she could grab something.”

Bone said donation bins are placed throughout the school and sometimes the Lacrosse team does collections before their games.

“Those girls have worked hard to put this together,” Bone said.
