Kingsbury Elementary School Hosts Joyful Hispanic Heritage Celebration!

Memphis, TN - Last night, Kingsbury Elementary School in District 2 embraced the vibrant spirit of Hispanic Heritage Month with a fun-filled celebration that brought the entire school community together, featuring a wide array of creative activities, performances, and games, all inspired by Hispanic cultures from around the world.

Excitement filled the room as students cheered each other and had the opportunity to participate in hands-on crafts, many of which were based on books written by Hispanic authors. Some highlights included decorating paper piñatas, finger-painting a Frida, making colorful animal masks, and more!

The celebration continued with energetic rounds of Lotería, a traditional Mexican game, and a lively twist on the classic party game: “Pin the Book on the Burro.”

The Hispanic Heritage Celebration was a huge success, leaving students, teachers, and families eager for more opportunities to celebrate the richness of the cultures that unite them.
