SUPERINTENDENT: QUALIFICATIONS
QUALIFICATIONS
The superintendent of schools shall be a person who meets at least the following criteria:
Possess experience in teaching and school administration totaling at least 10 years or some Board approved equivalent; and ;
Have an advanced degree with a concentration related to educational administration or some Board approved equivalent; and
Possess or be eligible for a license of qualification for a superintendent in the state of Tennessee or some Board approved equivalent.
The Board may approve the adoption of additional superintendent qualifications criteria.
