District 3: Trezevant High School Recognizes Alumna Jamie Chambers

On a bimonthly basis, Trezevant High School posts an “Incubator of Inspiration from the Bay Spotlight” on its Facebook page. The goal is to highlight the school’s alumni and shine a light on their achievement to inspire future generations. On Monday, December 2, the school recognized Jamie Chambers.

As stated on the school’s Facebook post, Ms. Chambers is a celebrated graduate of Trezevant. While at Trezevant, she was an honors student and multi-sport student athlete, participating in track and basketball. She earned a 57.4-second 400-meter dash and 37 points in a single basketball game, respectively. In her senior year, she earned a full basketball scholarship to Alabama State University, graduating in 2010. Later, she obtained a master’s degree in education from Grand Canyon University. Currently, Ms. Chambers is a ninth-grade English teacher and basketball coach at Raleigh-Egypt High School. Ms. Chambers is an amazing coach while balancing a work-life balance as a mother of three young student athletes of her own.

As a former student athlete, Ms. Chambers knows the ins and outs of training and conditioning, facilitating her connection to her students. Her real-world connection to the sport makes for a phenomenal experience.
