Last week, the Shrine School’s basketball team defeated the Memphis Police Department with an “unforgettable victory.” It was a game to remember!
According to the school, “the students played their hearts out, showing off some impressive skills and teamwork, while our cheerleaders kept the energy high with their amazing spirit. The crowd’s cheers and support were just as unstoppable as our team, making this a memorable game from start to finish.”
Shrine School is a public school in Memphis, TN, that serves students with multiple disabilities and dual diagnoses ages 4-22 and who live in Shelby County. They are equipped with a complete staff of highly trained and skilled teachers, therapists, nurses, administrators, etc., who work together to meet the daily needs of the students while providing them with the best instruction and care available to them. The school also focuses on a curriculum that emphasizes academic growth, fine and gross motor skill development, and sensory stimulation.
Congratulations to the winning team at Shrine for being a great example to others by showing that anything is possible if you put your mind to it!
