District 5: Cordova Middle School Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with Exciting Competitions and Student Involvement

Cordova Middle School proudly celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month with a series of engaging activities that highlighted the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans. The celebration received tremendous support from Board Member Otey and Chris Johnson, Director of Middle Schools at Hope Church, making it a memorable event for all.

The festivities included a spirited hallway competition, with our 8th-grade teachers and students taking the top prize. Their creativity and dedication to representing Hispanic culture were evident and earned them well-deserved recognition. Congratulations to them for their incredible effort!

Our 6th-grade students also shone brightly, impressing everyone with beautifully decorated door displays. These entries reflected their respect for and understanding of the rich Hispanic heritage we honor this month.

Special thanks go to our teacher committee for inspiring our students to explore and celebrate the diverse history of the Hispanic community. Through their guidance, our students were encouraged to learn, express themselves, and unlock their potential.

At Cordova Middle School, we are always #unlockingpossibilities and striving to #AIMHigh as we continue to nurture an inclusive and dynamic learning environment.
