Memphis-Shelby County Schools Continues Momentum with SUPE Schools and Veterans Hiring Blitz

Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS) is continuing its efforts to bring excellent educators into every classroom by hosting a series of hiring blitzes.

Next up is the SUPE Schools Hiring Blitz taking place on Thursday, July 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Teacher and Learning Academy located at 2485 Union Ave. SUPE schools are a network of schools identified as having key areas of opportunity and resources allocated to achieve academic growth.

On Friday, July 26, MSCS will host Troops to Teachers, focusing on recruiting veterans and their spouses as educators. This event will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at two convenient locations: Memphis Armory, 2610 East Holmes Road, and Millington Armory, located at 5650 Attu St.

“Our goal is to identify passionate educators who possess the energy and dedication to help students realize their potential and build a legacy,” said Superintendent Dr. Marie N. Feagins. “Our primary focus is to attract certified educators to join our efforts in classrooms as we empower our teachers and drive academic progress at Memphis-Shelby County Schools.”

Prospective candidates are encouraged to bring their resumes and be prepared for on-site interviews. MSCS representatives will be available to provide information about the district, benefits, and available positions.
