The benefits of Pre-K are undeniable. Pre-K students consistently outperform their peers who do not attend Pre-K and are more likely to be Kindergarten-ready -- a critical indicator of long-term learning success. Plus, Pre-K students are three times more likely to go to college.
Shelby County Schools has nearly 6,000 FREE Pre-K seats available across the county in SCS schools and community partner sites. Children must turn 4 years-old by August 15 to be eligible.
