Newberry Elementary Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Newberry Elementary has a special Hispanic Heritage celebration planned for Thursday, Sept. 27th from 1:45 -3:00 pm with an invitation for Latino Memphis to address the students and an interactive mariachi band performance.
Parents and friends are invited to join the celebration on the 17th and to share food, facts, or cultural items with students highlighting their heritage. A power point presentation with a quiz highlighting 10 famous Hispanic Americans will be shared with the teachers.
